Warehouse Assistant


Position Summary: ‪Our new Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for supporting the warehouse team in all aspects of receiving, storage, assembly, loading/unloading trucks, and warehouse cleanup. This is a physical job that requires someone who can work on their feet for the duration of their shift.

Our normal work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:45pm, but hours may vary slightly from day to day. Must have experience with tools, reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, internet access, and a smartphone.

Starting Pay Rate

  • $20 to $23 per hour, depending on experience; room to grow beyond for the right candidate.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Move inventory and materials throughout the warehouse

  • Oversee deliveries to ensure all items are intact and properly handle any damaged merchandise

  • Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper locations

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining up to date records of inventory

  • Prepare documentation for audits and loadouts

  • Assemble furniture items

  • Ensure warehouse areas are clean and all safety hazards are removed

  • Handle furnishings and fragile products with utmost care

  • Follow any additional directives from warehouse management

‪Skills/Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have experience using common hand tools

  • Must be able to work well with others and take direction from the management team

  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow directions for assembling furniture

  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Must be able to work actively on foot for the duration of work shifts

  • Must be able to take initiative without too much asking

  • Must have critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve

‪Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • ‪Walking, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and lifting 75lbs or more (frequently)

  • Will be using basic tools such as hammers, box cutters, screw drivers, and power drills that will require the full use of hands/fingers to operate

  • Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state
